Yep, I'm back! Well, I haven't had too much time to really do any vlogging, but I had a chance to create an iMovie for a class I am taking right now. Our assignment was to create a movie on how to make a peanut butter jelly sandwich. So, my group and I decided to make an (attempt at least) movie on how you could make a peanut butter jelly sandwich - 1920s style. At the end, you'll notice Dusty saying something in sign language. He's fluent in sign. I would've translated it, but I have no idea on how to read sign. Do you know what he's saying? (Don't worry, Adam gets his sandwich in the end)

Temporary Hiatus

Well, as all of you probably know, I have not been posting video for awhile. I'm really sorry about this. I started the doctorate program at the University I am attending and it has been C-R-A-Z-Y. I am enjoying it, but it has severly put a temporary stop to my vlogging big time!

I plan to put up videos soon. AND no need to fear, I thinking of focusing my actual dissertation on "vlogging." LOL, crazy me! I'll try to put up new video ASAP.

Two friends of ours spent their last day in Hawaii with us (one is off to the mainland, the other is going to Iraq). So, we did the only thing that we knew we could do for them before they left ...make them participate in a completely embarassing scavenger hunt and put it on film. LOL, it wasn't THAT embarassing, but fun nonetheless. We'll miss you!!! Music: I'll Be There for You by the Rembrants. This weekend, I went to Kawaii Kon, an anime (Japanese animation) convention here in Honolulu, HI at the Ala Moana hotel.  This was my first time at a convention.  Met a lot of new people and saw a lot of neat costumes.  Do you know which one I am?

Well, after a disappointing week without my Mac, I finally have it back. And I have some good news! ...and it's NOT that I saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.

Computer Crashed

I had just finished creating my latest video, when all of the sudden ...my computer crashed. Right now, I'm borrowing my father's PC, but the whole edited video was in my Mac and it crashed. So, sorry, no vlogs until I get it fixed. :-(

Today one of my favorite fish, Flippy, died today. RIP Flippy.

The sad part about this video was when I originally attempted to toss Flippy into the toliet, he accidentally flung out of the net onto the side of the toliet. I edited that part out, but that's what I get for trying to film myself flushing my fish down the toliet :-/

Update: Okay, just fixed the iTunes buttons AGAIN! This time still click the orange and blue buttons, not the purple one I had before. These are same videos, but they are more iTunes/iPod video friendly, and they are on a different feed. After that, delete the old subscription "Becca's Vlogs" in the Podcasts section of your iTunes. Ever wonder why I'm busy right now...

Well, I've been working on my instructional design project. It's basically an online instructional module about plagiarism and copyright. I decided to parlay my videoblogging skills to this project and show the students I am testing video instead of just plain texts. Here's one of the videos I created. It's a bit long, but it's what I am doing right now.

Much apologies for not commenting on other vlogs and blogs. I promise after this busy week is over, I'll catch up. :-p

Busy! Busy! Busy!

I've been so busy lately. You'll see what I mean after watching the video. Also, I realize that I write funny. Agh, that's what I get for being left-handed.

More food!

The day after I went to Mitsuken, I went with a few friends to Big City Diner in Waipio. Big City Diner serves your regular burgers and fries, but also features local foods such as kim chee fried rice and soybeans.

This is just a short video. I've been so busy with all my work, it's crazy! For those of you whose vlogs I usually comment on, I'll get to it ASAP! I'm sorry for not commenting recently :-(

Breakfast Time!

Mitsu-Ken Okazu and Catering is a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Kalihi, famous for its garlic chicken and local food. However, it was breakfast time, and I was hankerin' for some breakfast before I headed up to an education conference at Kamehameha Schools. I ended up getting the Breakfast Special with a Hawaiian Sun Lilikoi Passion drink. Hmm... where did my coworkers go?

FYI, Okazu means "a type of meal/dish" in Japanese. Lilikoi is a type of fruit found in Hawaii.

Well, at least two very brief unedited videos. I have tons of New Years Eve footage, but haven't edited it yet, so that will definitely appear sometime this week on the vlog. For now, enjoy my brief video from Santa Barbara, CA, where I was visiting my grandmother. Her house is in the background.



AND my Thanksgiving trip last November to Disneyland.



I know. I know. These are something you would see at a relative's house that you would fall asleep at, BUT they're very short, so it's like that but condensed. :-/
