Click here for videoWaikiki on Halloween is crazy. It's like the Mardi Gra of Hawaii. This video is a montage of my favorite costumes that I saw that night. It's a bit dark because I was filming at night, so if you have a hard time viewing the video, try turning up your screen's brightness. Also, if you don't have
Quicktime 7 or cannot see the video altogether, you can view the video
here. Enjoy!

Happy Halloween! I'm so jealous of everyone who got to see so many fabulous costumes. I think because it was a Monday, the vibe in NYC was tamer than it should have. Only four more years till Haalloween is on a weekend!
(or is there a leap year in there to make it shorter...or longer...)
What was that costume of yours at the end, there? I know I saw some gloves...
this is quite different from the images I have seen in the past, from magnum pi movies
:)))
but sure more amusingamusing
dude, that looked way fun!
i'm so going next year!
At work now, will peep the video asap! As for working in Japan...I dont teach as much as I used to...I was on the JET programme for three years...now I am enrolled in a university and I also work at a hospital! Hmmmm...you don't need to speak any Japanese at all to teach here!! I know a handful of folks who have lived here over 5 years and still cant hold a conversation in JPN!! If you have any questions feel free to get in touch with me!
Becca,
(I'm using the comment field to write because you don't have an email link on your page!) Thanks for the help & hints with posting and uploading. I'm sort of stumped as to what has happened this time. The other two movies went up smoothly (although slowly) and were available immediately. This one is bigger, but is listed on Our Media (3X) but doesn't have a link. I've reported all three as missing, since it has been over 24 hours. I have been using Firefox to post text, pictures & video to the blog because Safari is just...lame, at least in this regard. Also, the Our Media site has been crashing my computer, which stinks. I've been considering emailing the movie to myself and then uploading it from the internet cafe on the corner because they have very powerful computers and zippy connections. But really, shouldn't a G4 Powerbook and a cable modem be handling this work well?
I'm hesitant to use Our Media's "large video upload" tool because that means adding more mystery software to my already crashing shinysilverbaby.
I sooooo very much do not want to pay someone to host my videos...and actually, I wouldn't even know where to look!
Thanks again for the help...got any other ideas??

Wow....I was in waikiki last september. Every night in waikiki was a blast. After seeing your video, i wish that i did not go to hawaii in september....thanks for posting the video
Halloween in Waikiki was so crazy. Next year, it'll get even crazier, since Halloween falls on Saturday.
Aw, no lego men in your video :)
I, of course, a newcomer to this blog, but the author does not agree
